Etymology: < Rangoon (officially Yangon; Burmese ranʿkunʿ, pronounced /jãɡoũ/), the name of the largest city and former capital of Burma (Myanmar).
1. Rangoon creeper n. a tropical climbing shrub of South-East Asia, Quisqualis indica (family Combretaceae), having distinctive tubular flowers with white petals that change to pink or bright red over a few days.
