A mineral of the zeolite group found in Norway, typically occurring as white aggregates or fibrous masses, and now regarded as identical with gonnardite. Ranite is a hydrous silicate of aluminium, calcium, and sodium, and is related to natrolite. Crystal system: orthorhombic.
