1849 12 May 272/3 Mr. Frederic Barker of Dorcas Terrace, Hammersmith has put forth a new kind of razor paper, which is introduced for wiping the razor while shaving.
1875 E. H. Knight III. 1887/1 Razor-paper, smooth, unsized paper, one side of which is treated with a composition of crocus and flour-emery in powder. It is used to wipe the razor and is intended as a substitute for the strop.
