Etymology: < re- prefix + draft n. With the form redraught compare draught n. In sense 2 after redraft v. N.E.D. (1904) gives the pronunciation as (rīdrɑ·ft) /riːˈdrɑːft/, /riːˈdræft/.
1. Finance. A new bill drawn for the amount of a dishonoured bill plus expenses; a bill of re-exchange. Also: the action of issuing such a bill or an instance of this. Cf. redraw v. 2. Now rare.
