Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymons: Latin recēnsiōn-, recēnsiō.
Etymology: < classical Latin recēnsiōn-, recēnsiō revision of the roll by the censor < recēns- , past participial stem of recēnsēre recense v. + -iō -ion suffix1.
