Etymology: < classical Latin reboant-, reboāns, present participle of reboāre to re-echo, resound, to call or cry in answer < re- re- prefix + boāre to bellow (see boation n.). Compare earlier reboation n.
Chiefly literary and poetic.
Resounding, reverberating; loudly echoing.
