Finance.
1. transitive. To return (funds or investments) to the banking system, rather than dealing directly with the stock market; to reintroduce the role of (a bank, building society, etc.) as an intermediary between a lender and a borrower, or between an investor and the stock market. Cf. disintermediate v. 2.
