Etymology: < classical Latin rēgificus fit for a king, royal, sumptuous ( < rēgi- , alternative stem of rēx king (see rex n.1) + -ficus -fic suffix) + -al suffix1.
Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.
Royal, stately; magnificent, lavish.
