Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin repraesentator.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin repraesentator representative (early 3rd cent. in Tertullian) < classical Latin repraesentāt- , past participial stem of repraesentāre represent v.1 + -or -or suffix. Compare French représentateur (1670). Compare earlier representer n., representor n.
Now rare.
