单词 resiluation
释义

resiluationn.

Forms: 1500s resiluacion, 1500s resiluation, 1500s resylynacion (transmission error).
Origin: Of uncertain origin. Perhaps a variant or alteration of another lexical item. Perhaps a borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Etymons: recidivation n.; Latin resilīre , -ation suffix.
Etymology: Origin uncertain. Either a misreading of recidivation n. (compare quot. a1535 at recidivation n. 2, and also slightly later residuation n.1), or perhaps irregularly < classical Latin resilīre resile v. + -ation suffix (compare later resilition n.).
Obsolete.
Recurrence of a disease; relapse.
