The places are balloted for by the putters each day. 1849 G. C. Greenwell Gloss. Terms Coal Trade Northumberland & Durham 41 Renk,..a standard distance of 60 or 80 yards (called the first renk), upon which a standard price is paid for putting a score of coals. 1860 Weale's Dict.
