Origin: A borrowing from Latin. Etymon: Latin restitutivus.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin restitutivus restorative (1344, c1620 in British sources) < classical Latin restitūt- , past participial stem of restituere restitue v. + -īvus -ive suffix.
