Origin: Either (i) a borrowing from Latin. Or (ii) formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: Latin resuscitator ; resuscitate v., -or suffix.
Etymology: Either < post-classical Latin resuscitator person who raises to life again, reviver (early 3rd cent. in Tertullian; < classical Latin resuscitāt- , past participial stem of resuscitāre resuscitate v. + -or -or suffix), or independently < resuscitate v. + -or suffix.
