A modified form of the Danish language used in Norway after its separation from Denmark, and which (as Bokmål) now constitutes one of the two standard forms of the Norwegian language (the other being Nynorsk, formerly known as Landsmål).Also known as Dano-Norwegian and Riksmål n., but now more properly called Bokmål n.
