Origin: Formed within English, by compounding; perhaps modelled on a French lexical item. Etymons: Russo- comb. form, -phobe comb. form.
Etymology: < Russo- comb. form + -phobe comb. form, perhaps after French russophobe (1844 as noun, 1847 as adjective). Compare earlier Russophobia n., Russophobist n.
A person who has a strong aversion or hostility to Russia, its people, culture, etc. Also as adj.
