Good Physiol. Syst. Nosol. (1817) 456). N.E.D. (1884) gives the pronunciation as (ăkrǫ·tik) /əˈkrɒtɪk/.

Medicine. Obsolete. rare. Apparently only attested in dictionaries or glossaries.

Of a disease: affecting the outer surface of the body; cutaneous.
