Etymology: Irregularly < ancient Greek σκότεος, genitive of σκότος darkness (see scoto- comb. form2) + -graphy comb. form.

The practice of writing in the dark or without seeing.Only with reference to the blind philosopher John Gough (cf. quot. 1804).
