To leave a place voluntarily; (later chiefly) spec. to leave voluntarily a foreign country in which one has been living without legal authorization, esp. to return to one's own country. Also transitive: to cause (oneself) to be deported.In spec. sense, chiefly in the context of political debate concerning illegal immigration.
