Used attributive and in other combinations with reference to filtration, as Seitz disc n. a small disc of compressed asbestos fibres, used for filtration. Seitz filter n. a type of filter in which liquids are purified by passage through a readily replaceable Seitz disc; so as v. transitive. Seitz-filtered adj., Seitz filtration n., Seitz pad n. a Seitz disc.
