A proprietary term for a preparation of dextran used for the separation and purification of chemicals on the basis of molecular size.

1978 Nature 12 Oct. 565/2 It was reduced with sodium dithionite and then isolated in 0·01 M phosphate buffer (pH 7) by Sephadex chromatography.
