释义 | sinsignn. Philosophy and Linguistics. A term used by C. S. Peirce (1839–1914) to designate a sign which is a thing (e.g. a diagram or weathercock) or an event (e.g. a cry). Later, taken to be a symbol that is an individual instance or ‘token’, rather than a universal or ‘type’. Cf. legisign n.
