Slobberiness (in various senses); the quality, fact, or condition of being slobbery (in various senses).It is unclear whether the use in quot. 1880 is a specific reference to the proto-Impressionist technique of the artist referred to, or whether it refers more generally to hasty or careless workmanship or execution.
