1. Chiefly Theology. Of, relating to, or characterized by the soul (soul n. 1), or animate existence; (hence) of or relating to the animal or corporeal life of man, as opposed to the spiritual. Cf. psychical adj. 2, soulical adj.Originally and frequently with allusion to St Paul (1 Corinthians 2:14).
