Originally (now chiefly U.S.): the stinking chamomile, Anthemis cotula (more fully stinking mayweed). In later use: any of various similar plants of the family Asteraceae ( Compositae), which occur as arable weeds; esp. Tripleurospermum inodorum (more fully scentless mayweed).
