1935 E. P. Henderson in Amer. Mineralogist 20 769 A new yellow, hydrous aluminum vanadate, Al2O3·V2O5·6·5H2O, which has been named steigerite, is here descibed.
1959 Amer. Mineralogist 44 336 Electron micrographs of steigerite from Gypsum Valley, Colorado..show that the material is composed of thin, poorly developed laths and angular flakes.
