Etymology: < super- prefix + taster n.1, after non-taster n.
Physiology.
A person whose sense of taste is unusually acute or well-developed; spec. one whose ability to perceive certain qualities of taste (as bitter, sweet, sour, and salty), or whose ability to taste certain substances (esp. in experiments, the chemicals phenylthiocarbamide and 6-n-propylthiouracil) is unusually high.
