Etymology: < super- prefix + particularity n., after either post-classical Latin superparticularitas (6th cent.; from 13th cent. in British sources) or superparticular adj.
Mathematics. Now chiefly historical (in the context of early music).
The property (of a ratio) of being superparticular.
