Etymology: < Latin teˈtrastichon a quatrain, < Greek τετράστιχον , neuter of τετράστιχος containing four rows, < τετρα- tetra- comb. form + στίχος row, line of verse. Compare French tétrastiche, -ique.
Prosody.
