Origin: Either (i) a borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Or (ii) a borrowing from Greek, combined with an English element. Etymons: Latin adiaphorus , -al suffix1; Greek ἀδιάϕορος , -al suffix1.
Etymology: < post-classical Latin adiaphorus or its etymon ancient Greek ἀδιάϕορος indifferent (see adiaphorous adj.) + -al suffix1.
