单词 to-tag
释义

to-tagn.

Forms: In Middle English to tagge, ( to tage).
Etymology: apparently < to- prefix1 + tagge, tag n.1 pendant or addition, or tag v.1 to append. But the simple noun and verb are not known before c1400, and then not in abstract sense. It is to be remembered however that tag was probably a word not likely to occur in literature; and that there are other words in which the compound with to- is known much earlier than the simple word, e.g. to-crush, to-touse.
Obsolete.
Something ‘tagged’ or attached to a fact; a circumstance.
