Swimming.
1. A stroke in which the swimmer, lying front down in the water, pushes both arms forwards and then sweeps them back in a circular movement, while the legs are brought towards the body with the knees apart and the heels together and then kicked outwards again in a corresponding movement. Also in extended use with reference to an animal, insect, etc.
