释义 | Transleithanianadj. Now historical. Of or relating to the Hungarian territories of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (1867–1918). Viewed from an Austrian perspective, the Hungarian territories lay beyond, or to the east of, the River Leitha which formed for a short distance the boundary between Hungary and the Austrian (or Cisleithan) provinces to the west of the Leitha.The Hungarian territories were officially termed the ‘Lands of the Crown of St Stephen’, but are sometimes called Transleitha or (now more commonly) Transleithania.
