Etymology: < trans- prefix 4 + personal adj.Previous versions of the OED give the stress as: transˈpersonal.
That transcends the personal, transindividual; spec. designating a form of psychology or psychotherapy which seeks to combine elements from many esoteric and religious traditions with modern ideas and techniques.
