释义 | † tritoxiden. Chemistry. Obsolete. The third of the series of oxides of a metal or radical, containing the next higher proportion of oxygen to the deutoxide. (Now expressed by trioxide or other term indicating the actual proportion: cf. protoxide n., deutoxide n. at deuto- comb. form 1.) Sometimes improperly used to denote a compound containing three proportions of oxygen (= trioxide n.).
