单词 tweeze
释义

tweezen.

Forms: Also plural tweeses, twizes, twises; rare in singular
Etymology: Aphetic < etweese (1657) = etuys , etuis , plural of etui n. See also twee n.1The form-history in English is not quite clear, but apparently the plural form etuis, etwees was taken also as singular and spelt etweese, and this aphetized to tweese.
