1951 W. K. Matthews Langs. U.S.S.R. v. 87 A third type of North-West Caucasian is usually listed, viz. Ubykh, which is now almost extinct along the north-east coast of the Black Sea and survives chiefly in Asia Minor.

1977 Language 53 450 Ironically, the language which has been the most extensively documented, Ubykh, is the most seriously moribund.
