单词 undeclarable
释义

undeclarableadj.

Forms: late Middle English vndeclarable, 1600s– undeclarable.
Origin: Probably of multiple origins. Probably partly a borrowing from Latin, combined with an English element. Apparently partly formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: un- prefix1, Latin declarabilis ; un- prefix1, declarable adj.
Etymology: Probably originally < un- prefix1 + post-classical Latin declarabilis (from 13th cent. in British and continental sources: see declarable adj.); compare later declarable adj. In later use apparently independently < un- prefix1 + declarable adj. Compare indeclarable adj.Previous versions of the OED give the stress as: undeˈclarable.
(un- prefix1 1b.)
