单词 unluved
释义

unluvedadj.

Forms: early Middle English unluued, early Middle English unluuede.
Origin: Probably formed within English, by derivation. Etymons: un- prefix1, love v.1, -ed suffix1.
Etymology: Probably < un- prefix1 + love v.1 (compare love v.1 2d) + -ed suffix1.It has alternatively been suggested that the word shows a reflex of Old English unlīefed , in the same sense ( < un- prefix1 + leve v.1 + -ed suffix1). However, the form unluved could only conceivably be a reflex of this word in western dialects of Middle English, whereas the scribal language of this part of the manuscript has been localized to west Suffolk (where the expected form would be *unleved).
Obsolete. rare.
Unlawful, unapproved, illicit.
