white stork n. a large migratory stork, Ciconia ciconia, which breeds in parts of Europe, Africa, and western Asia, winters mainly in Africa, has predominantly white plumage with black wing feathers and a red bill and legs, and is noted for its large nest, frequently built on the roof of a building.
