Biology.
A motile flagellate spore, as produced by certain algae, fungi, and protozoans. Cf. zoosperm n. 2.macrozoospore, megazoospore, microzoospore, zygozoospore: see the first element.Numerous zoosporic organisms are pathogens causing disease in economically significant plant and animal species.
