Origin: Probably a variant or alteration of another lexical item. Etymon: wrench v.
Etymology: Probably a variant of wrench v.Perhaps compare English regional (Yorkshire) ringe, wringe (of a dog, etc.) to whine, to complain, to cry in pain (1796).
Bermudian English.
