Horticulture (originally and chiefly U.S.).
A style of landscape design used in arid regions, which aims to reduce or eliminate the need for irrigation and other maintenance, chiefly by using plants and features that are suited to a dry climate. Also (usually in form xeriscape): a garden or landscape designed in this way.
