Designating a form of creationism (creationism n. 2) which holds that the universe and living organisms were divinely created relatively recently and within a comparatively short period of time; of or relating to this belief.Young-earth creationism typically arises from a literal interpretation of the Biblical account of creation and its narrative of early human history, from which the Earth is deduced to be some six to ten thousand years old.
