Hester Lynch, known as Mrs Thrale or (later) Mrs Piozzi (née Salusbury). 1741–1821, English writer of memoirs, noted for her friendship with Dr Johnson. Her works include Anecdotes of the late Samuel Johnson (1786) and Letters to and from the late Samuel Johnson (1788)
