单词 | apparent power |
释义 | apparent power in Electrical Engineering (əpærənt paʊər) noun (Electrical engineering: Electrical power) The apparent power of an alternating current circuit is the product of the RMS values of the voltage and the current, expressed as volt-amperes. The volt-ampere specification is used in AC circuits, but is less precise than inDC circuits, because it represents apparent power, which often differs from true power. Power factor is best thought of intuitively as the multiplier (ranging between 0and 1) that you must use to obtain the real power from the apparent power. The apparent power of an alternating current circuit is the product of the RMS values of the voltageand the current, expressed as volt-amperes. |
