: any of a class of chiefly southeast Asian musical instruments (such as the bonang or kulintang) consisting of a set of pot-shaped bossed gongs of definite pitch that are normally played with the open side down and suspended on a frame
The gong chime is found in several countries, and consists of a number of gongs tuned according to the varying scales used.
