单词 | magnetic flux density |
释义 | magnetic flux densitynouna measure of the strength of a magnetic field at a given point, expressed by the force per unit length on a conductor carrying unit current at that pointSymbol: B Also called: magnetic induction Words nearby magnetic flux densitymagnetic field, magnetic field of the Earth, magnetic field reversals, magnetic field strength, magnetic flux, magnetic flux density, magnetic head, magnetic hysteresis, magnetic inclination, magnetic induction, magnetic ink Collins English Dictionary - Complete & Unabridged 2012 Digital Edition © William Collins Sons & Co. Magnetic flux density is equal to magnetic field strength times the magnetic permeability in the region in which the field exists. Electric charges moving through a magnetic field are subject to a force described by the equation F = qv X B, where q is the amount of electric charge, v is the velocity of the charge, B is the magnetic flux density at the position of the charge, and X is the vector product. Magnetic flux density also can be understood as the density of magnetic lines of force, or magnetic flux lines, passing through a specific area. It is measured in units of tesla.
