Hoover test
A test used to identify neuromuscular weakness or lack of effort by the patient.Technique
The patient is supine while examiner cups both heels of the patient with his or her hands. The patient then is asked to perform a unilateral straight leg raise.
Positive test
Inability to raise leg, or examiner does not feel pressure in the palm of the hand under the resting leg.
