Location:8 miles northwest of Boonville, 0.5 mile south of Highway 128 on Philo-Greenwood Road.
Facilities:92 developed campsites (4 @di sites), hike/bike campground, cabins (1 @di), hermit huts,restrooms and showers (é), 25 picnic sites, multi-use trail (é), naturetrails (2 miles), visitor center, exhibits.
Activities:Camping, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, biking, horsebackriding. Fishing is not allowed in the park but is permitted in theNavarro River watershed down river from the bridge at the parkentrance.
Special Features:Park features two virgin coast redwood groves: 80-acre Big Hendy, witha self-guided, wheelchair-accessible discovery trail; and 20-acreLittle Hendy. Park is well-known for a fallen redwood stump that washome for a man known locally as the Hendy Woods Hermit. Located in themiddle of the Anderson Valley wine district, this park is warmer andless foggy than redwood parks along the coast.
