Henne, Frances E. Henne, Frances E. (Elizabeth)(1906–85) library educator; born in Springfield, Ill. A professor of library science at both of her alma maters, the University of Chicago and Columbia University, she wrote extensively on children's literature and libraries. She helped establish national guidelines for libraries and edited the American Library Association's Standards for School Library Programs (1960). |
